Liz has done a petit feat of legerdemain to transform a French 20 Franc "Rooster" gold by changing Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité to Laissez les bon temps rouler on the front of this note card.
The back of the card provides more information about the coin: Based on French 20 Franc "Rooster" gold coin minted from 1899 to 1914 which included the French motto of "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité." A symbol of France since the Middle Ages, the Gallic Rooster (Coq Gaulois) played an important role during the French Revolution as an image of confidence, vigilance, and fighting spirit.
